Help raise €600 for Ariadna Litvinova’s ECtHR legal case

On 29 October 2026, Our House lodged an application with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) against Türkiye on behalf of anti-war activist Ariadna Litvinova. The application seeks a legal assessment of her deportation to Russia and the fact that she was denied an opportunity to challenge it.

Ariadna, 25, opposed Russia’s war against Ukraine. On 24 February 2025, she wrote “Peace to Ukraine” and “Freedom for prisoners” on panels at a military exhibition in St Petersburg. She was detained, and criminal proceedings later followed. She left Russia for Türkiye in August 2025.

Why legal assistance is needed

On 4 July 2026, Türkiye deported Ariadna to Russia. She was detained at the airport and is now held in a pre-trial detention centre in St Petersburg. She is awaiting trial on a charge of repeatedly “discrediting” the Russian army. Her next hearing is scheduled for 11 November. No verdict has been delivered; she faces up to seven years in prison.

In a letter from detention, Ariadna said Turkish officials did not show her a deportation decision, allow her to challenge it or contact a lawyer. Our House obtained her consent and filed the application, although it has not received deportation documents from the Turkish authorities.

Help fund Ariadna’s legal case

We are raising €600 for further legal work and support for her application to the ECtHR. Please help Our House continue this legal work.
