Dear friends,
On 31 October, we are planning a Halloween party at the Our House office. We expect around 20 Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian children, and we are asking for your help to raise 280 euros for pumpkins, chocolate, sweets and other party supplies.
We have already started preparing and visited a shop to buy supplies. But the prices of pumpkins and sweets came as an unpleasant surprise: everything has become noticeably more expensive. Pumpkins cost around one euro per kilogram, and a large pumpkin weighs 8–10 kilograms. That means 8–10 euros for a single pumpkin. When you are organising a party for around twenty children, even these purchases add up to a substantial amount.
We want the children to carve pumpkins together, play, spend time with one another and enjoy some sweets. This is why we are launching this small fundraiser. The money raised will go towards preparing and holding the Halloween party for the children.
If you can help, we would be grateful for a donation of any amount. You can also support the party by donating pumpkins, chocolate or sweets, for example by arranging delivery to our office.
